At Simard’s Firearm Training, we prioritize the safety of each and every student. Peter Simard is a certified firearms instructor with the USCCA and NRA programs. He has been teaching firearms for over 15 years. With over 40 years of experience working with firearms, he knows exactly what to do to give you the best experience, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced firearm enthusiast. Connecticut Pistol Permit Classes
The cost for taking the 8 hour class is $140.00. Classes are kept smaller to allow everyone to learn with hands on training. Class sizes are generally 10-12 students or smaller.

This includes Class work, Training in a Virtual Simulator, and live fire qualification at the range, All students will qualify with a .22 handgun. There is a non refundable $30 deposit to be paid online the remainder will be paid in cash the morning of the class. The permit class is being taught under the USCCA curriculum.

I can also accommodate one on one classes in your own home if you prefer not to sit with a group.
One on One Personalized training
I can cater classes to your personal needs. After you obtain your permit and you are still feeling uncomfortable with shooting or you are not sure what kind of firearm to purchase, I can assist with all of this. This can be an overwhelming process.

Times are booked for a minimum of 2 hours. The first hour is $150.00 Each additional hour is reduced down to $100.00 Per hour.
At this point you probably already have your permit and possibly your first firearm. Please have your own ammunition, Plan to shoot a few hundred rounds.
